Talos

Creature design for my 2022 portfolio at Syn Studio. The project is a reimagining of 'Jason and the Argonauts' as a historical fantasy set along the Silk Road.
Talos is a large ancient monster made of gold, bronze, and flesh. Created by the gods for the purpose of guarding the Land of Giants, a place in the human world that was once exclusive to divine beings. When the gods deserted the land they deserted the guardian as well. The creature continues to fulfill their duty.
